Power Maxed Racing have announced their very first esports championship, in the form of the PMR eSeries Powered by NXTGEN.
The series has been developed as a joint effort between BTCC front-runners Power Maxed Racing, esports stalwarts NXTGEN and the Virtual Racing Association, who have been involved with Official esports Championships for various vehcile manufacturers. It will take place across 12 weeks, with the initial Qualifying session open to the public on the 22nd April.
Hosted by NXTGEN, the series will be run on the PC-based programme, iRacing, and all rounds will be streamed live by YearOne and AlphaLIVE. Every competitor will drive the same car, an Audi RS3 TCR, with a fixed setup for each event. The series will utilise 7 UK-based tracks, with 3 International wild cards mixed in, and will loosely follow the order of the delayed 2020 BTCC calendar.
Each car will display branding from one of PMR’s BTCC Partners, and there will be a number of fantastic prizes up-for-grabs, along with a unique trophy for the ultimate series winner.
The season will kick-off on Wednesday April 22nd, with the first race round scheduled to start on Wednesday 29th at 20:00 GMT, with rounds taking place every Wednesday at the same time after that, for 11 weeks, including a 1 week “Summer Break” in the middle.
Further details will be announced on PMR’ social media channels, including how you can apply to enter, the track selection, and prizes.
